Sonu Kakkar, a celebrated name in the Indian music industry, was born on October 20, 1979, in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. Raised in a musical nest where her siblings Neha and Tony Kakkar are award-winning singers, Sonu's early singing years were sculpted by temple performances and vocal guidance from her brother, Tony. Despite lacking formal training, her naturally melodious voice shines.

Her entry into the music industry was orchestrated by music director Sandeep Chowta, leading to her smashing debut in Bollywood with the 'Jail' song 'Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo'. Since then, Kakkar has lent her voice to an array of hit Bollywood films including 'The Dirty Picture', 'Aashiqui 2', and 'Gabbar is Back', showcasing her versatility in singing pensive ballads and lively party anthems.
