DJ AM, the stage name of Adam Michael Goldstein, will forever be remembered as a groundbreaking DJ and musician who pushed the boundaries of genres like hip-hop, rock, and electronic music. Rising to fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s, DJ AM quickly became one of the most sought-after DJs in the vibrant Los Angeles club scene.
Not only known for his impeccable mixing skills, DJ AM co-founded the renowned record label Deckstar and formed the rock/hip-hop mashup group Crazy Town. His collaborations with artists like Travis Barker, Jay-Z, and Madonna further solidified his reputation as a creative force in the industry.
In 2008, DJ AM survived a devastating plane crash that claimed the lives of four others, leaving the music world stunned. Despite the tragedy, he battled his personal demons, striving to maintain sobriety for several years.
Unfortunately, DJ AM's journey was cut short in 2009 when he tragically passed away from an accidental drug overdose at the age of 36. The loss reverberated throughout the music industry, leaving a void that has yet to be filled. His impact on DJing will forever be felt, as he blazed a trail for future artists to follow.
Even after his passing, DJ AM's musical influence continues. In November 2021, his posthumously released Hindi song "Raataan Lambiyan (Remix)" captivated audiences and showcased his enduring talent. Additionally, his English track "Touch the Sky (feat. DJ Ammo)" released in January 2012 left a lasting impression on his devoted fans.
