After being signed to the international powerhouse Rishi Rich Productions, H-Dhami's rise to stardom can only be described as a phenomenon. After a short span of time H-Dhami's career has sky rocketed across the globe and he has performed at hundreds of events across all continents of the world, alongside some of the biggest names today.
Hailing from a family of musical background, H-Dhami practically has music flowing through his blood after being trained in the arts from the moment he was born from his father Palvinder Dhami - the legendary lead singer from Bhangra band HEERA. Performing from the age of 6 live on stage with his father he has no shortage of experience and skills to perform to very high standard.
His debut album 'Sadke Java' was released in the UK and achieved record-breaking sales and became the biggest selling album of 2008 for the Bhangra genre. It was voted the number one album and single of the year by the following media outlets: B4U TV Network UK, BRITASIA TV, Desi-BOX, Eastern Eye Newspaper and many more. Also voted as Jay Sean's number 1 track (Sadke Java) of the year (2009) on Nihal's Radio 1 show.
H Dhami won the 'Best Newcomer' award at the 2008 UK Asian Music Awards and 'Best Act' in 2009. H-Dhami also snapped an international award from MTV Pakistan in 2009 for 'Best International Artist'.
H-Dhami's domestic success catapulted him into becoming a household name and role model to the youth across the UK and led him to be the South Asian Ambassador for many official organizations including the FA (UK Football Association).
H-Dhami's success has reached overseas and created a movement within the Indian market as well. The album was release under Sony BMG India. H-Dhami has also fetured on the title track for the Bollywood animation film 'Toonpur Ka Super Hero' staring Ajay Devgan & Kajol & now the recent release for the film 'Speedy Singh's'.
Apart from music, H also ccompleted his FA Level 1 coaching badge in May 2008, which with the skills he gained has implemented in schools in the Birmingham region to break down barriers in the community and encourage kids to follow in his footsteps and take their first steps onto the coaching ladder. As well as encouraging kids to Get Into Football, H has used football as a tool to communicate positive social messages which centre around racial inclusion.
H has also helped launch the National One Game One Community campaign in association with Kick It Out, in the region and has also helped launch the campaign with Aston Villa Football Club. Within this event H sat on a panel consisting of England International Curtis Davies, Marketing Executive from Aston Villa Football Club Ravi Mesih and Kick It Out Communications Executive Danny Lynch.
Currently, H-Dhami has his sights set on the release of his DVD 'H-DHAMI, The Story So Far' supported with a remix album, a second album and multiple tours worldwide. As well as being a leading Ambassador for the Chelsea FC 'Asian Star 2012' campaign.
