About Alfaaz
It began at the age of 14, when I was just a little boy trying to be the next Romeo. A little crush then made me write my first song, from my heart. A new feeling kindled my heart, which later turned into a passion for writing. I kept writing more and more, it amazed me!
Although I loved the fiction in the songs of great lyricist/singers but i always sang my heart instead of just following a trend of philosophical singing/writing. My songs are not fictitious, they come from my way of living, my friends, life's incidents, basically the world around me..
While growing up, I've been fortunate to meet some great artists which made me realize that Dreams do come true...
It inspired me even more and my best buddies then, Harry(brother) Teji,Kulli and sukh always motivated me to take writing/singing seriously.
Its funny I never even had a diary for my songs. I just had scribbled bits of pages. It's because of my songs I've always been an eye-candy among friends, in college.
By this time I had turned my house into a ''ZILLA'' yeah ZILLA where the love and appreciation of buddies made me a star among them.
Dancing & choreography has also been a hobby in college which later got me to do some events with the help of my best buddy Sukhi Patran.
I never thought of taking up singing as a career up until one night a very close friend called up and said " Alfaaz, you are good at writing and singing, you should take it seriously, Make an album'. Never thought would never hear from him again.
But I am sure, every time I sing, you can hear me dear buddy!!
His last words were the beginning of a dream and that's how I decided to do an album.
Then, in 2010 I met ANUP KUMAR JI (ACME ENT.) after some efforts, he heard me and liked me and set up a meeting with Yo Yo HONEY SINGH. Meeting Honey Singh was like a dream come true. He is unbelievable, such a great artist, a gem at heart and a great support.
He changed me from a "shayar" to a "lyrical Bastard" (Laughs)!! He groomed me commercially. It's strange that not even a single song, initially selected for this album, exists in the album.
Yo Yo Honey Singh gave my songs a new soul.
My favorite song, Hai mera Dil , from the album "Boy Next door" is already a super hit among whoever has heard it.
Being busy and occupied unknowingly some relations were ignored, but I've been fortunate enough to have great friends.
I would like to thank my buddies who've always been there for me, from quick midnight beer breaks during rehearsals to answering last minutes calls.
I am also thankful to Dinesh Ji and Ruby ji from Speed records, Anup kumar ji, My Mom (Mrs. Paramjit Kaur) and Dad (s. Gurjit s pannu) and my Grand Parents(Sdn.&S Sher singh) , My mentor YO YO HONEY SINGH and all my friends who always supported me and made my dream come true. I couldn't have done it without your blessings.
