Zara Nikou Sichani, a Canadian Actress of Persian & Filipino descent, started as a child model at a young age of 4, walked down the ramp in Manila for top brands Elle, Disney Princess, Toy Kingdom & Philippine Fashion Week & Philippine Fashion Awards. Zara has also print modelled for Ralph Lauren, Zara, Gap, Rustan's Kids, SM Petites, Furby for Toy Kingdom, Ayala Malls Billboards, & Int'l bank HSBC. When the family decided to move & live permanently in Canada, it is Zara's will to continue modelling & has done runways for H&M & Cabriolle Luxury Couture in the Vancouver Fashion Week, and has done fashion print modelling for Australian formal wear designer Ana Balahan & New Jersey's Little Skye for Kids & Teens.Zara's early beginnings paved the way for TV commercials acting in Manila for multinationals McDonalds, Safeguard, Swifts, Suncell Telecom, Vistaland Real Estate, Doowee Donuts, & Chocotopps. Here in British Columbia, she pursued commercial projects such as BC Transit, Nature Trust of BC, Southlands Tsawassen of Centry Grp., & BC Children's Hospital.Zara is a natural-born artist. Success in modelling & product endorsing led her to do acting in films. She has done roles w/ US & Canadian actors for Disney's Pupstar Christmas & Puppy Prep Academy. Hallmark Channel has given Zara good breaks in it's 2020 Countdown to Christmas movies. In the film "The Christmas House", topbilled by John Bennet of Mean Girls, Rob Buckley of One Tree Hill & Ana Ayora of Capt. Marvel, Zara is the young Rose, close friend of Noah portrayed by Mattia Castrillo. In other Christmas Hallmark flicks, Zara has also acted in minor roles in "Deliver by Christmas" w/ Alvina August of Nancy Drew Mysteries, & "If I Only Had Christmas" w/ Candace Cameron Bure of Fuller House fame.Zara's first break in a lead role was in an Int'l Filmfest Vancouver short film entry "Aperture", where she bagged 2 Best Child/Young Actress Awards from Oniros Awards, Italy & LA Int'l Filmest (same time Mimi Ndiweni of The Legend of Tarzan won Best Actress for the film Dishonour). Zara is the young daughter of a live-in maid portrayed by Aixa Kay. Aperture (Best Short Film) was directed by Hyomin Bong (who won Best Director from Oniros), son of multi-awarded Oscars & Caanes Best Director Bong Joon Ho of Best Film "Parasite", and produced by Moheb Jindran (Best Producer). It also gained special awards, citations & nominations in the European Cinematography Awards, New York & Stockholm Film Festivals. Soon after, Zara landed in lead roles of other Int'l Filmfest hopefuls Beyond Saturn w/ Lissa Neptuno, Leo w/ Kaitlin Akow, Sabicha w/ Aixa Kay & Heliophilia w/ Mia Fiona Kut.Zara is also an aspiring singer.
