Wendy Bangura is a native of Sierra Leone, West Africa. She is the youngest daughter of Late Captain Hancil Bangura, a prominent Statesman of the Sierra Leone Military. Her mother is of Lebanese and Indian descent which accounts for her unique and striking features. Wendy has five sisters, one brother, and a step brother. She is young, talented and ambitious. Her believe in perfection is unprecedented. This Sierra Leonean Actress/ Producer has received international acclaim for her film "The Entrapped". The African Film Critics Awards has nominated the film for 2012 Best Feature, Best Male Actor, Desmond Elliot, and Best Female Actress, Syr Law. "The Entrapped" is also being recognized by The Golden Icon Academy Movie Awards (GIAMA) in 2012 for Best Feature Film, Best Actress, Syr Law and Best Supporting Actress, Susan Peters.Wendy's vision for "The Entrapped" was to garner the attention of an international audience casting film stars from different continents. As Producer/ Executive Producer of "The Entrapped", Bangura worked tirelessly with Director, Desmond Elliott to bring an international all star cast to Nollywood. With Nigerian actors, Desmond Elliot, Susan Peters, Emmanuel Mensah and Chuck Kendall and Sierra Leone actors Wendy Bangura and David Vandy, and Hollywood actors Syr Law and Illya Konstantin, Bangura is bridging the gap between Nollywood and Hollywood.Wendy first came into the spotlight at the age of twelve years old when she won the first place in a beauty pageant at Murray Deen Preparatory School. Since she has been recognized in beauty contests, fashion shows and live dance. With the support of her family, Wendy continues to excel in all areas of the arts.Bangura attended Murray Deen Preparatory School in Sierra Leone. She is a graduate of Bladenburgh High School in Maryland, 2002. Wendy is a currently a student at Prince Georges Community College studying Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice.The Bangura family heads the Non profit Organization, Help The Poor African Charity Organization (HELPAC). HELPAC organization was a vision created by Mrs Bangura to help the poor in Sierra Leone and other African countries. HELPAC believes that food, shelter, and education should be a fundamental human right. The mission is to help transform the lives of families in poverty.
