About Susan Keating
I spent 20 years growing my lifestyle brand, Sweet Pea Gardens, in coastal Maine after a successful 13-year career in business development and marketing (informed by my dual BS Management degree in Marketing/MIS from Syracuse University).Over the course of 20 years, Sweet Pea Gardens attracted significant media attention from Martha Stewart and many national magazines. As part of my business I grew many of my own flowers and had three greenhouses. I ran a year-round business with summers being particularly busy with the planning and executing of up to 30 weddings per year in addition to serving our regular retail and estate clients. I nurtured a close team at Sweet Pea Gardens, and together we created and hosted workshops and classes in our historic retail space. These events were intricate and dynamic as we highlighted food as well as flowers and incorporated a sit-down meal when feasible.My friends would describe me as kind, honest, dependable, creative, funny, direct, wise, mature, and hard-working.
