Sophia Dunn-Walker is an actor, writer, and producer known for Tour de Force (2018), Une Jeunesse Dorée (2019), and Highway 1. She has a degree in Directing and French Literature from Reed College, and an honors degree from private French drama school Cours Florent. She has won several international awards and residencies for playwrighting, including: residency at the Howara International Theatre festival in Morocco, the Chateaux Orequevaux Artist Residency for writers, showcase at Le Fondation des Étas Unis, and showcase at the TFE festival at Cours Florent.::Sophia Dunn-Walker
Sophia Dunn-Walker was born in Rochester, Minnesota. Her father works in infectious diseases and her mother is a painter and multi-disciplinary artist. She has one younger brother, Kip, with whom she is very close. From an early age, Sophia had a vivid imagination, and was very interested in sci-fi and fantasy. This interest was fostered by her parents and their careers. Dunn-Walker spent many summers in France with her extended family, where she developed an early interest in the French language. French filmmaking would also have a deep impact on young Sophia.Born with a genetic condition called familial cone dystrophy, Sophia and the school system struggled with the complexity of her condition. The experience of living with her disability gave Sophia a deep empathy for others living with disabilities and the challenges they go through. She is a life-long advocate for people with disabilities. Sophia is also a survivor of sexual assault and lives as an openly queer woman. She is dedicated to being a role model and voice for others who have survived sexual assault.After obtaining her BA from Reed College in Directing for Theatre and French Literature, Sophia moved to Paris where she was offered a job at the historic Mona Bismarck American Center. While in Paris, she also worked for Good Chance Theatre, an organization that works with refugees and promotes language exchange and expression through the arts. She signed as an actor and model with the talent and modelling agency blackcode and studied at Cours Florent and with Jack Waltzer. Dunn-Walker has modeled for designer brands and appeared in British Vogue. After parting ways with MBAC and completing her degree at Cours Florent, she moved to Los Angeles where she signed with Malaky international Talent.Sophia has worked both in front of the camera and behind the scenes in the independent and mainstream markets. She has been awarded several international awards for her acting and playwriting. Her rich past and experience drives her goal to understanding people's unique talents and ways of expressing themselves, especially in the arts. She is currently working on serving as a voice for the causes she believes in. She is currently working on directing a feature film as well as appearing in several TV shows....
