About Skyla I'Lece
Born July 25, 2006 in Raleigh, North Carolina, 'Skyla ILece Woodard was singing and performing by the age of 2. Today, she is a two time Best Actress in a Musical Nominee. At the age of 2 1/2, her parents signed her up for routine musical theater camps. There began the journey of a triple threat; singer, actress, and dancer. She is known for bringing an unbelievable and remarkably realistic flair to the set and onto the stage! Her captivating personality and ability to bring dramatic or comedic scenes to life by owning it and with such ease is unprecedented in such a young actress. Her dramatizations will make you feel deeply; her comedic sense is sure to make you joyful on the inside.Skyla first hit the professional acting main stage as a part of Disney's the Little Mermaid (2014) and later in Disney's and Cameron Mackintosh's, Mary Poppins (2016) theater production. In 2017, she acquired her first Lead role as Mary Lennox in the musical The Secret Garden, becoming perhaps the First African American to be cast in this role for a major professional production! Woodard was later cast as Baby June in Gypsy. In addition, in 2017, she went on to make her Television debut in the fourth season of TURN: Washington's Spies. In 2019, she was on the set filming for the new successful Starz Series, PValley and Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge.Skyla takes ongoing training in Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, and Hip Hop dance. She plays both piano and guitar. As a singer, her voice is a power house of soul, r&b, and pop. As an athlete, she is trained in volleyball, tennis, archery, tumbling, swimming, and horseback riding. Skyla has worked with some of the best choreographers and acting coaches in the industry from California to North Carolina to New York City, continuously gaining knowledge and additional skill-set. Nonetheless, she remains authentic and humble which will make her that more unforgettable and legendary as an actress and performer....
