Shivani Rai was born on 20th August. She comes from an army background, which has ultimately helped her in shaping her strong personality for films. In an interview with Tribune India in 2021, she said, "I come from an Army background. Most of the men in my family have been a part of the Indian Army. When I decided to become an actress, I always had the desire to be a part of a project that paid a tribute to our armed forces. Being a part of Verses Of War has been an honour. My family is also very proud of me for doing this film."Shivani started her career with renowned "Sutradhar" theatre in Hyderabad under Vinay Varma. She acted in many plays like "Ji Jaisi Aapki Marzi" , "Natsamrat", "Bitter Chocalate (by pinki virani)" etc. She has also done theatre projects with Ramoji Film institute and Annapurna film school.Her first acting role was in Govinda's starrer FridayFry in 2018 where she played the cameo role of Anarkali's character.In 2019, she worked in the short film "The wallet" starring Naseeruddin shah and Navni parihar . She played the role of Priya.In 2020, she did commercial ads for Hamley's brand.She bagged the lead role of short film "Verses of war" in 2022, opposite Vivek Oberoi....
