Since her arrival onto the Hollywood scene, actress Sara Castro has become a beacon of hope and positivity in both the roles that she plays as well as the life she leads. Whether it's her emotionally-charged performance as a young mother with a belief in miracles in the film, "The Shift", or donating her personal time and energy to various charitable causes, Castro's mission is to become an inspiration to others as well as lending a hand to those less fortunate. Born and raised in north-side Chicago, Sara credits her mother as her main source of inspiration. Sara says, "Growing up, my mother was a brave, hard-working woman whose tireless work ethic allowed her to raise four children as a single parent while simultaneously putting herself through college." Sara's creative passion stems from growing up in that musically inclined family, which included various aunts and uncles who were involved in acting, dancing and singing. This familial pattern instilled in Sara a lifelong love of the arts. Sara attended a bilingual school, where she developed affection for culture as well as her Colombian-American heritage. Sara attended Columbia College Chicago, where she received a Bachelor Degree in Art and Journalism. While there, Sara performed in several stage productions. Sara's first job out of college was as a reporter for CBS in Palm Springs, CA. It was this experience that led Sara to start her own production company where she would produce, write and host tourist-entertainment, television shows. Apart from her role in "The Shift", Sara's acting prowess has landed her roles in films like "The Long Way" as well as the award-winning horror anthology, "The Dark Tapes." Sara credits her inspired performances to an insatiable work ethic in developing meaningful characters. "I always target my performance by seeing how similar and different the character I'm playing is to me in real life," the beautiful actress says. "Whenever I'm on set, the role becomes organic, and I let whatever feelings come overwhelm me." In addition to success in roles in the drama, romance and horror genres, Sara is heavily involved in writing and producing the upcoming thriller, "ORGANization". An advocate for the homeless as well as children with autism, Sara is also involved in paying it forward, and freely offers her time and talent to help various causes. Sara Castro is driven by her own personal love of creativity and philanthropy as well as a desire to be part of a project that grows into something beautiful. But when asked to offer a bit of advice to others, Sara doesn't hesitate to answer: "Believe in something that's bigger than yourself and know you're never alone,God is guiding you through it all."...
