Samuel Itzhak Finzi was born on January 20, 1966 in Plovdiv. He graduated acting in National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria in the class of Professor Dimitrina Gyurova (1992). He specializes in "Lee Strasberg Theater Institute", New York (1994). He debuted in the role of Leopold ("Tutor" - B. Brecht, Y. Lenz) in the Theatre "Bulgarian Army" (1989). Since 1989 he lives and works in Germany. He plays in Toured Hebbel Theater - Berlin, Schauspielhaus - Dusseldorf, Schauspielhaus - Cologne, Thalia Theater - Hamburg (1989 - 2003), Folksbyune - Berlin (2003 - 2006), the Deutsches Theater (2006). Bulgarian actor Samuel Finzi was named best actor in Germany. He received high recognition of the 42 known critics and journalists who voted in a poll of the magazine "The theater today." Many of them have indicated Finzi a favorite of the German-speaking scene in 2015 for his role of Vladimir in "Waiting for Godot" by Beckett, staging by another Bulgarian - director Ivan Panteleev, and played in Berlin "Deutsches Theater".
