Paola Paulin is a Mexican/Colombian actress based in Los Angeles, she plays Michelle on HBO's smash hit Ballers starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. You can catch her next in the film Tax Collector staring Shia Labeouf, directed by David Ayer. She was also in the movie 'American Violence' as Maria, and a short film called 'Protagonist' winner of the Malibu film festival, written and directed by Eric Roth writer of Forest Gump and his son Alec Roth. In this 20/20 Birthday Cake film is coming up where she worked as a producer of the film.Paola enjoys playing all types of characters, specially strong females and action roles, she also works as a voice over actress on shows like South Park. For eight years she has worked on perfecting her craft as an actress, being part of different theater plays and studying different acting techniques such as uta Hagen, Meisner, Lee Strasberg, and Chekhov. She started in Miami as a TV host in English and Spanish. Paola also models on runways, print campaigns, billboards like L'Oréal, Skechers, Bebe along with magazine covers and commercials for brands like Coca Cola, State Farm, Moroccan Oil. At a young age Paulin was a painter, guitar player and ballet dancer, she was also active in various sports, including tennis, swimming and horseback riding. She spent several months at a time in the US in order to improve and perfect her English. In addition to English and Spanish, Paulin also speaks some French, since her grandparents are from France. Paola graduated with an International Business Management degree and ha a master in marketing. As part of her studies she went to the Organization of American states headquarters in Washington, D.C. as one of twenty students selected to represent Colombia. Following graduation, Paulin was hired by ProColombia, the Colombian Government Trade Bureau to work in the Investment department, and relocated to Miami. In 2012, Paulin decided to take a leap of faith and act on her aspirations to join the modeling and acting world. Her natural talent and charisma quickly attracted the attention and interest of some of the world's most prestigious modeling networks. Soon after signing with Elite Model Management, she began to model and pay for her acting studies. She has trained in most major acting and performance techniques, including the Uta Hagen Technique, the Meisner Technique, Checkhov, and Lee Strasberg method. She has also completed stunts action, comedy,and improv courses, as well as worked with diction coaches in both English and Spanish.
