Richard Dodson was killed and Olivia was left to raise their 4 yr old son on her own. Years later she started her family again. After participating in a 5k charity run, she found the father of her tiny daughter, with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Olivia and her children made a movie about their grief, which took first place at the Virginia Independent Film Festival in 2008. Ms. Dodson holds a Master's degree in Executive Leadership in Human Services and was accepted to Appalachian Law School.
