About Monique Bricca
Monique Bricca is an American actor who has performed for film, television, and theater. Bricca was born in San Francisco, California shortly after her parents migrated from Marseille, France. While growing up in San Francisco in a dual-language home, she returned to France for three months every summer to visit her relatives. Bricca has remained fluent in French throughout her adult life.Painfully shy as a child and young adult, she recalled that when assigned to give an oral book report in high school, persuaded her parents to call in sick as she feared standing in front of class. Shortly after graduating high school, Bricca was "scouted" by a leading model agency, rapidly conquered her fear of performance on the catwalk, and within a year had become a successful print and runway model in San Francisco. She also began studying acting while attending community college. While modeling in Paris, she was invited by Christian Dior to be part of the "Dior Cabine" of resident models. Bricca went on to enjoy a career that spanned more than two decades as a fashion model in Paris, Tokyo, Milan, New York and Los Angeles. She has appeared in countless magazine editorial features, print advertisements and on television commercials.Inspired by the transition into acting made my other former models including Rene Russo, Andie MacDowell, Famke Janssen, Bridgete Moynahan, and Monica Bellucci; Bricca continued her dramatic study at College of Marin, Full Circle Productions and San Francisco School of Digital Film. Bricca has appeared in several features including, "A Fractured Life", "One Way Home", "The Wisdom Tree" and numerous short films, including "Black Etude" and "You're Cordially Uninvited". She was awarded Best Actress by the San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in the play "Last Act".Monique has two children, son John-Paul and daughter Paulina. She resides in Los Angeles, California....
