Mike Mitschele is a musician, songwriter and composer from Charlotte, NC and the co-lead singer and guitarist of the Alternative Champs (1994-present) and frontman/songwriter in Sunset Cassette (2019-present). His early career was spent touring nationally and internationally as a member of Jolene (Sire, Ardent Records) and Athenaeum (Atlantic Records).His original music has appeared in various TV shows, commercials and movies including: Employee of the Month, Election, A Simple Plan, Waiting, The World Made Straight and most recently The Righteous Gemstones. Mike has also written multiple songs for advertising through his custom music company 'Two Canary' for Sheetz, Cree Lighting and Visit Charlotte.In 2019 Mike Mitschele and his band mate Rick Randall teamed up to co-write several songs for the HBO series The Righteous Gemstones, they also appear along with members of the Alternative Champs in season 1 playing "Tears of David" the Gemstone Salvation Center Band....
