About Michael Teoli
Michael is an award-winning Film and Theatre Composer based in Los Angeles. Before graduating from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, he worked on Howard Shore's Music Team for The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003). Since then, he has scored or worked on the music for over 65 films. Teoli has composed three full-length musicals. Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera has had performances in New York, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles and Portland. It was selected to be a part of the 2015 New York Musical Theater Festival where it enjoyed a sold out run at an off Broadway theater. CarnEvil premiered at Sacred Fools Theater in Los Angles where Michael was awarded an ARC grant from the Center of Cultural Development. The Werewolves of Hollywood Boulevard premiered at the 2014 Hollywood Fringe festival and was nominated for Best Musical.Michael provided Music Direction, Arrangements and Additional Music for Doomsday Cabaret and Exorcistic: A Rock Musical Parody each winning Best Musical at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in 2012 and 2013 respectively. After an overwhelmingly positive response to his score for the play Absolutely Filthy, (which won Top of Fringe/Best Overall at the 2013 Hollywood Fringe Festival and the 2014 New York Fringe Festival respectively), Michael released his first album, Absolutely Filthy Trax. Teoli went on to officially release soundtrack albums to his score to the feature film, Neshima (2016) and Stuart Gordon's play adaptation of the Kurt Vonnegut Jr. novel, The Sirens of Titan. Michael recently Arranged and provided additional musical composition to Skullduggery: The Musical Prequel to Hamlet at Sacred Fools Theater which has received a Best Original Music Ovation Nomination (award ceremony upcoming).A New England native, Michael moved to Los Angeles in 2006 where he met his wife Lauren Teoli. They got married on 10/10/10 in New Hampshire, and their son, Rocco Wolfgang Teoli was born in 2014....
