About Margaux Da Silva
Margaux Da Silva, born in Brasilia, Brazil January 9th 1990 and is the youngest of two siblings. However she is French-Brazilian, her father is the Brazilian Diplomat Debrair Isaias Da Silva and her mother the French artist, painter Martine Gallo Da Silva (1952-2013).At an early age she developed an interest for the arts upon moving to Paris due to her fathers work as a Diplomat. Beginning Rock 'n Roll dancing classes at the age of 5.Her family moved to Dominican Republic when she was 10 years old as her father became the Brazilian Consul there.That's where she learned Spanish and English at a Bicultural School adding them to her native French and Portuguese languages, therefore she speaks four languages fluently.As her passion for dancing grew, she begins taking Hip Hop dance lessons at Ecos Dance Studio and developed a real love for dance, her interests in different styles grew into Merengue, Salsa, Bachata, Belly Dance, House Dance, which she studied in Sao Paulo Brazil, and Tango, styles in which she performed in different venues and events in Santo Domingo.Her love for singing is also a part of her artistic skills, therefore she has taken many years of scenic presence, vocal and singing lessons from worldwide known Spanish Lyric Soprano, Maria Remola.Margaux begun to show interest in acting during a difficult time in her life while her mother became ill with Cancer, she participated in the renowned Dominican Actor Manny Perez acting workshop and that's when she discovered a real passion for acting. She decided to take it seriously and begun her studies at Laura Garcia Godoy conservatory, one of the most revered acting coach in Dominican Republic.An extremely difficult time due to her mother's deteriorating illness, she found it extremely difficult to attend castings or try to work in any acting project that was offered to her, after her mother's passing, she found an inner strength which allowed her to begin working and performing in different new small projects such as short films (El Idiota), (Teaser Matum), (Stella Artois Short Film), (Educational Short), commercials (Banco Leon), (Dominican Tourism), had small appearances in films such as Pimp Bullies and El Hijo Del Destino.Margaux's breakthrough film role was in the 2014 drama 339 Amin Abel. This leading role has made her one of the most sought after actresses in Dominican Republic with many leading film roles already lined up for early 2015 with an eye on the U.S. market....
