Laura began acting late in life due to being a mom first, which in turn has given her numerous mom roles as well as lawyers, therapists and crazy aunts. When she is not filming she keeps her acting chops in tune by performing in local theater productions. Her favorite role to date was performing as "M'Lynn" in Steel Magnolias the Redhouse Arts Center.
