Joel M. Gonzales is a native of Los Angeles; growing up in the inner-city community of Watts. He is an entrepreneur and seasoned award-winning Producer, ( as well as a Line Producer and UPM) with 10+ years' experience creating and managing high-profile film, TV, digital media and live events. He's worked in multiple states with budgets ranging up $10 million dollars. His ability to problem solve, think clearly in difficult situations and continually pull off the impossible make him an invaluable team player.He experience comes fro having worked on various studio and independent films, where he made it a point to learn and absorb all he could thus moving him up fast in the ranks as a lead producer of his own films and for hire.His first feature film "Followed Home" (made on a 3k budget) is still available on many digital platforms and box retailers today as a great example of "no-budget" filmmaking. His second produced feature; "Exorcist: Prayers in the Dark", also available on many digital platforms. After further honing his skills producing micro-budget films for-hire his reputation grew as the go-to producer for budgets seeking a quality producer. In 2014, he formed Action Faith Media, his first film, "Crave: The Fast Life", a faith-crossover film set in the Los Angeles nightlife has won over (22) awards world-wide, and continues to be in the top 20 trending Faith/Latino films on Amazon Video.2021 Action Faith Media releases include "Riding Faith", "Redeemed", "Blanco", and "My Brother's Keeper" which was nominated for the coveted CMA Dove Award in 2022. Other note worthy projects he is developing include; an authorized "Ricardo Montalbán" bio-pic, and "Can You Hear Me?" with Derrick Williams (Heaven is for Real).Joel served as the SVP, Head of Latinx Content and Physical Production for Confluential Films founded by acclaimed producer/director Tommy Oliver (HBO's "40 Years a Prisoner" and Netflix's "The Perfect Find"). Under the Confluential banner he is produced the much anticipated HBO documentary "Juice Wrld", "The Devils Breath" for Hulu Originals, "The Burn Pits" and "Die Like A Man" starring Cory Hardrict.Joel have recently launched his new Development company Untold Content with partner Amber Butaud who brings strong funding out of Texas. He is also partnered with long time friends Joaquin F. Palma and Hector Felix on Local Threat Productions, a full service production and post house serving the L.A. indie-filmmakers scene.Joel has also served as president of Nosotros, the oldest Latino Arts Advocacy non-profit founded by the iconic Ricardo Montalbán in 1970, for over 13 years and still going. In the spirit of collaboration, networking and inspiring others, Joel is always ready and willing to share his resources and knowledge.
