Joanne Miller also known as MJ, is a writer, actor and stand up comic who works in film, television, and live on stage. She produces weekly current event based comedy on MJ Comedy TV which can be found on Youtube and Facebook. For television,she has written for the 25th season of This Hour Has 22 minutes, for Hungry Eyes Entertainment, and The Real Pigs of Norfolk County for Clerisy Entertainment. As an actor, she has been nominated for two Merritt awards, as well as two ACTRA awards for her work in You Ruined Our Life, and Mr. Happy and won a New York Festivals Award for her work as the lead in CBC's Backbencher. She plays crown prosecutor Louise Reid in CBC's Diggstown and was also a series regular in Cavendish, Pure, and TV with TV's Jonathan Torrens.
