Jhanelle Elissa is an actress and director based in Los Angeles, CA. A creative performer for almost 2 decades, Jhanelle Elissa has recently shifted her focus to acting and directing. She is also the founder of the tech company Jiive - a live events and social experiences platform for building real-life community and making friends in person - and is the co-founder of Playlist of Color, a nonprofit initiative connecting musicians of color to sync licensing opportunities in media.Jhanelle recently starred in the film 'Blood of Your Generation' - the newest project from Cannes Film Festival alumni TJ Penton, written & directed by Mallika Pal, 'End of Summer', a film making its rounds in the domestic & international film festival circuit, and 'The Right Look' which won 2nd place overall at AT&T Create-a-Thon. She also recently wrapped up her directorial debut as well as starred in an impactful narrative short addressing social activism entitled 'LISTEN'. In the last few years Jhanelle has been in over 18 narrative & new media projects, 40+ commercials, has worked on Freeform, NBC, and several new media platforms. She is passionate about telling stories that are rousing, dynamic, and contribute to the power of social justice, and looks forward to sharing content that breaks down stereotypes and represents the human experience in an honest light....
