J.G. Smith (she/her) is an actor and multihyphenate artist who works in Chicago and NYC. In Fall 2021, she will star in two commercials to be announced. Richard Roeper called J.G. a "standout" in her breakout role as Joanna Kitzmiller in dreamy indie thriller Knives and Skin (2019). She has worked with renowned directors such as David Schwimmer, Jennifer Reeder, and Stephen Cone, and on legendary stages including the Goodman Theatre, Northlight Theatre, and NYC's Judson Church. Her performances are acclaimed for their intense emotionality, whip-smart intelligence, and absolute commitment to the bit; her resume runs the gamut from comedy to drama, storefront theatre to big-budget sets, naturalism to surrealism. As a producer and writer, she has created numerous works of solo performance art for Undiscovered Countries' Infinite Festival, and co-created the award-winning MARYSHELLEYSHOW with Barbara Begley. Her short film Hire Me Spielberg (2014) was an official selection at New Orleans' Hell Yes Film Festival. She is a proud AEA member and represented by Paonessa Talent Agency in Chicago....
