About Ian Down
Ian Down, born Ian Charles Leavitt, in Long Beach California on July 10,1980, is an American actor, musician, producer, sound engineer, and singer. Best known as Ian Down singer, bass player, Owner of SKR Studios. Ian took the stage name of Ian Down in 1995 when he founded Shotdown, his Long Beach punk band.Ian has appeared in many clubs since he was 18 as a Promoter, Light and Sound Engineer, and as lead singer. Ian wanted to own his own studio and night club. Beginning with small places, such as his garage at age 16, to owning his own recording studio in 2012, SKR Studios, located in North HollywoodWhile in high school, Ian became interested in sound engineering through a friend who owned his own studio. After graduation from high school, Ian enrolled in courses in Sound Engineering at Long Beach Community College. At the age of 27, Ian attended Musicians Institute receiving certification in Post Production/Sound Engineer.Ian recorded at his SKR Studios Music Videos such as "Bad Boys", "Gotta Get Out", "This Time Around".All Ian's lyrics and music depict his deep feeling for friends, family, and loyalty. Ian is recording at SKR Studios with his band, Go Go Riot, which will include the lyrics and music for Battle Cry, a song he wrote at age 15.Ian has been in film as supporting or lead actor in film, " the Middle" as Joey Kim, "Calvin" as Koji Gritton, "Whore of Babylon as Cory Clark. In film as the Foley Artist in "A Haunting at Silver Falls", "Osombie", "5 Souls" and "Savage Country", voice over for Slander Films, Radio Host on Rebel Radio and the Ian Down Show, and Narrator/ characters in Audio books::Della DFBL
Ian Down had an idea for a TV series when he was 20 years old. Ian toyed with the idea and then in 2017, Ian wrote the first 3 episodes of The Truth About Carl Jennings. Ian is the Writer, Director, Producer, Composer for the Truth About Carl Jennings. Episode 1 in the TV series started filming in September . This is Ian's debut in writing, directing, producing, and composing for a film. Jobs well done !! Ian believes in bringing real truth to the art of acting, whether on stage or film. This is demonstrated in The "Truth About Carl Jennings", a short narrative film in which Ian was the writer, director, producer, composer, and lead actor.
