About Hayley Sales
Hayley Sales is an American/Canadian award-winning and internationally acclaimed actress and singer-songwriter (Universal Music Group). Born in Washington D.C., Sales began performing professionally at the age of five. By the age of twelve, people were beginning to take note of the little girl with the grown-up voice: "Sales has a presence to burn. You can feel her before she steps on stage," The Oregonian remarked. That same year, lying about her age, Sales book the role of Juliet in a University production. During the course of its month-long run, Oxford Scholars in attendance regaled her performance as "the most breathtakingly real Juliet they had ever been privileged to watch." By sixteen, Sales had already graduated with honors from the prestigious performing art school Northwest Academy, carried the lead in over one hundred theatrical productions, trained extensively in The Meisner technique, studied with coaches from AADA, The Actors Studio, Joe Anthony (USC) The Oregon Shakespeare Company and Tyger's Heart Shakespeare Co., Anthony Meindl, been flown to perform at The Pentagon for the WWII Ace Pilots Convention and toured the UK with a Saint from India. Shortly thereafter, Sales signed a record contract with Universal Music Group (Island/ Def Jam) and proceeded to release two award-winning, self-penned, self-produced records. During this time, Sales toured internationally with The Spice Girls, INXS, Jason Mraz, Feist, Jack Johnson etc. In 2016, Sales finished her third album "The Misadventures" only to have it shelved when the president left the company. Two years and a pile of legal bills later, Sales let it go and headed back into the studio, determined. In 2020, Sales finished her fourth album, "Ricochet," consisting of twenty original tunes which she produced, edited and arranged at GlassWing Studios located on Vancouver Island at her family's blueberry. Mixed by Michael Brauer, mastered by Joe LaPorta and co-produced by her dad, Richard Sales (Miles Davis/ The Ramones/ The Grateful Dead), "Ricochet" strips bare any veneer. The record is scheduled to be released beginning in Spring 2021. Parallel to her music career, Sales has acted alongside Josh Brolin as Hope Summers (Cable's Wife) in Deadpool 2, portrayed historical suffragette Helen Armstrong in the upcoming musical feature Stand, starred alongside Brant Daugherty in romantic comedy Just For The Summer, and appeared in numerous network TV series. Despite the role, despite the medium, there's something timeless to her, an elegance that's hard to come by in 2021. As an actress. As a singer. As a writer. Something classic but somehow entirely relatable. Something unabashedly honest, vulnerable and yet fiercely passionate. Wit with an open heart. "I'm a romantic. And I'm not referring to romance solely in terms of falling in love. I'm talking about romance as a way of life. A way of seeing the world."::Premiere Talent Agency
Hearing her classic voice for the first time, you can tell she has paved her own way; through the velvety hints of Motown and the bold romance of early jazz, the music of Hayley Sales breathes new life into the vintage sounds of the 1950s and 60s. An artist through and through, she has had to take the long way; carefully crafting her songs to match the unabashed honesty of a born performer. It's as if you're peering into the most intimate corners of her heart, unwarded. There's an elegance to her that is hard to come by in 2020. You hear it immedia...
