Genny Lis Padilla is an American actress and singer. Most notably she was an original member of the Broadway cast of On Your Feet!, directed by Jerry Mitchell, where she originated the role of Rebecca Fajardo and covered the leading role of Gloria Estefan. Early in her career she toured nationally and internationally with the hit Broadway musical Rent. She was later cast in the revival of the show Off-Broadway under the critically acclaimed, original Broadway director Michael Greif. She also starred as Nina Rosario in the 1st national tour of In The Heights, directed by Thomas Kail. Performing alongside Lin Manuel Miranda as Usnavi, the tour made history as the first ever Broadway touring company to perform in Puerto Rico. She's been a guest to the likes of Stephen Colbert, The View and Good Morning America.Genny was born in Oakland, California to Puerto Rican parents. She was raised in both Oakland, CA and Columbia, SC. She now calls New York City home....
