About Elena Kobylina
Elena immigrated from Central Siberia, Russia to the US and spent most of my twenties in San Francisco, California. While assimilating into a new language, culture, and brand new life in the Americas she signed up for her first acting class at a community college. It was an epic discovery back in 2009 and she didn't want to stop exploring the craft especially after a rigid Russian education in Politic Science. Theater brought her lots of joy, multi-layered human discoveries, and a community she dreamed of as an immigrant. Fast-forward, after working in Theater and Film/TV she decided to go all-in and come to NYC in 2018 to start an MFA in Acting program at The Actors Studio Drama School. She attended the final year of the program online which has taught her perseverance and full surrender to her journey. Trusting in her heart, she strives to be authentic, genuine, and connected to her heart space. She finds peace and joyfulness in the sounds and smells of nature, the insights of art, the wholesomeness of delicious food, and through the hard work of self-development....
