About Christina Jones

Christina Jones is an American Actress of primarily German (partly Swiss-German), Scandinavian, English & French-Canadian descent with a dash of Spanish and even subtler Italian. She is often asked about her ethnic background which enables her to share about the great influence of her grandparents (whom she'd often quiz on their origins) on her. She was born in Spokane, Washington and has lived in Los Angeles for nearly a quarter of her life. Her first taste of performing started at the age of three when she began Jazz dance classes that she continued into adolescence. She began her acting career performing in dinner theater productions in her hometown at the Lion's Share Venue and The Bing Crosby Theater. Although her love of acting truly began somewhere between her being ludicrously proud of her role as the Wizard of Oz in the third grade, and the home videos as a child where she was the inspirational baby doll of her older cousins and nuclear family.Christina landed her dinner theatre career through studying acting at Spokane Falls Community College where she graduated with honors. While continuing to star in dinner theatre, she went on to the only nearby school with a film program, Eastern Washington University where she studied film and sociology. In the winter of 2011, she had a car accident on the snow covered Eastbound I90. Pretty frightened from the incident, and receiving GPA repercussions for one missed day from an unsympathetic film professor, this is when she decided to put her bachelor's degree on hold. She proceeded to attend Glen Dow Academy in Downtown Spokane where she graduated from the Esthetics Program in 2012 and received the Achievement Scholarship for her excellence in the program. She quickly became a licensed esthetician in Washington State before moving to California and passing a second state board exam. She is currently a licensed esthetician in California and is very knowledgeable about skin care.Christina moved to Los Angeles in July of 2012. In the summer of 2012, Christina was brought on to host a Pacific BMW event filling the absence of the 2012 Playboy Playmate that normally hosted. In 2013 she had over 200 auditions for acting roles. She booked her very first audition in LA in 2013 for her role in Dumplings, a Senior Thesis Short for the Pasadena Arts Center, Graduate Student, Peter Yu. In her role as Linda, she studied to portray a blind woman and learned how to make Chinese Dumplings.Through her connection to the Pasadena Art Center, Christina appeared in a couple of music videos by MTV Music Video Award Winning Director, Jon Jon Augustavo. Incidentally, the first music video featured, Jinx Alive aka Derrick Jenkins, an artist from her hometown, Spokane. Later in 2014, she was also the lead in a Sony Spec Commercial Project for Walter Diaz at the Art Center.Continuing to work in a restaurant and a salon in Woodland Hills while living in Calabasas, Christina would often get into trouble for taking extended lunch breaks to make her auditions in Hollywood. During this time, she attended Act Club (now Screen Actors' System) in Sherman Oaks taught by Ryan R. Williams who has since been voted by Backstage Magazine as LA's Number One On-Camera Acting Teacher.
