About Chris Ferera
Chris Ferera was born in Riverside, California, where he was raised by his parents Chris, a salesman, and Deborah Ferera, a psychologist. His mother is of English, Scottish, and Irish ancestry, and his father is of Italian and Portuguese descent. Chris is the oldest of four brothers; Caleb, Jacob, and Tyler. He was educated at La Sierra High School in Riverside where he received a football scholarship to Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota. Here in South Dakota was where Chris got his first taste of acting in an undergrad acting course. After a football injury derailed his athletic career, Chris began fully investing in theatre. He graduated with a degree in History and Political Science and immediately started working at a summer stock theatre company in Brookings, South Dakota called Prairie Repertory Theatre. After directing and acting in over a dozen shows in the Midwest, Chris finally decided to move back to Los Angeles where he earned his MFA in Acting at the New York Film Academy.
