About Chidaksha Chand
Chidaksha Chand is an Indian actor, TV presenter and Animal welfare activist based in Mumbai. Hailing from a family of Border Security Force officer father and social activist mother, she has had a multicultural upbringing. Graduating in Humanities from Loreto College, Kolkata, her fervent desire to serve authentic trailblazing stories began from an early age fanning the flames for choosing the path of the performing arts and impactful communications. She started her career as a radio jockey as RJ Pari with 107.8 Power FM, Kolkata. Moving her way up from jockeying to producing her radio show, hosting 500 plus live corporate, cultural, political shows with top-tier firms in India and abroad. She has written, anchored and co-created a TV show for River Ganga revival and conservation series called Meri Ganga Quiz & worked as traveling writer, TV anchor for International Film Festival of India in 2019.She has deep passion for Hindustani Classical music, dance, spirituality and poetry.She was discovered for the famous Airtel ad as the hit girl in 'Har EK Friend Zaroori Hota Hai' directed by the award winning director Ram Madhvani, where she also sang the jingle composed by renowned music composer Ram Sampath. This one ad set the dice rolling for her acting career. Since then she has acted in more than 50 leading TV advertisements for brands such as Tata Vista, Quikr Beauty, Himalaya, Rin, Vistaprint, Lays among many others. She played the role of Cleopatra in the magnum opus period drama TV show Porus. Her recent release is the comedy web series Basement Company where she plays a happy, musical and warm Punjabi HR professional Chandni. She is making her Hindi feature film debut as a lead actor with upcoming independent film Kumbh....
