About Andrew H. Enriquez
Born in 1986 in Watsonville, California, Enriquez spent his teen years in Northern Idaho.A devoted fan of director Akira Kurosawa's Rashomon (1950), he auditioned for a stage production at North Idaho Community College at age 16, landing the role of the disillusioned Buddhist priest.After a passionate fling with semi-professional ballet dancing,he joined the Idaho Army National Guard, eventually appearing in the 2010 and 2015 United States Army Soldier Show world tours. The Show was a Broadway-styled variety shows with roots in World War I, and famous alumni such as Irving Berlin and Ronald Reagan (in the film version This is the Army (1943)).As his feature film directorial debut, he co-wrote, acted in, directed, and edited the no-budget mystery thriller Canvas the Night (2013), an adaptation of brother-in-law and actor Eric Sharp's popular dinner theater script.Additional short films include Blue Laundry (2013), It Happened on Exposition Blvd. (2015), The Day the Stars Turned Red (2016), and They Plot by Night (2016).Acting roles include leads in his films, as well as shorts I Met You Tomorrow (2014), and Flip-Flops on a Date (2017), as well as supporting roles in Voices (2017), The X-Species (2017), and military stunt work on Godzilla (2014)....
