About André Mattos
André Mattos, Recently in ¨DOM¨ for Amazon Prime Video, is one of Brazil's most beloved actors of theater, television and film. Recently won the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival 2019 award for Best Actor in a supporting role for " Veneza" and nominated " once again" for best actor in a supporting role for " 492" in Rio International Film Festival 2017. Mattos was destined for the stage having been born to Emílio and Zélia de Mattos, theater actors on their own right. However, it would be his scene stealing portrayal of Fortunato in Elite Squad: The Enemy Within, for which he won the Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro for Best Supporting Actor. This would catch the attention of Hollywood and director José Padilha who would invite Mattos to participate in the first season of NARCOS (Escobar story).
