About Anaam Singh
When A'naam Singh grows up, he wants to be a dentist like his father. Until then, he's taking full advantage of every opportunity life presents to him. A'naam Singh was born in Naperville, Ill. on May 11, 2005 to Dr. and Mrs. Singh. His mother is a psychotherapist and columnist for the Naperville Sun.In 2010, A'naam was cast in Sprout Network's "Noodle and Doodle" as 'himself'. Confident in front of the camera, he was allowed to improvise. His older sister, M'laah Kaur Singh, who had her breakout role playing the young Indian girl in the Hollywood blockbuster "The Avengers", also appeared on the show, affording the siblings a chance to collaborate.A'naam plays piano, dances and sings, particularly to songs from his favorite group, "One Direction." He's also very active in their Gurdwara (the Sikh place of worship). He participates in Sikh Speech Competitions with his sister and attends Sunday school.He fills his summer with swimming and soccer camps. He often plays goalie, but his parents are proud to report that he recently scored his first goal on the field as a forward.His favorite hobby is reading. He reads fiction and non-fiction and reads at least two books per month. A'naam is nearly finished reading "The Lost Hero," a novel for readers several grades higher. He already corrects his parents' grammar and keeps them honest at the grocery store, for example, he likes to read the ingredients to his mother to ensure their food is dairy free.When he enters second grade, A'naam will begin Project Arrow, a scholastic program for gifted students in which he will study advanced math, science and English. A'naam earned admission when he scored highest in the nation among his age group. A'naam is learning math via the Kumon Method.Sprout Network's "Noodle and Doodle" is currently available on DVD....
