An accomplished World DMC Champion (India) in 1999 and 2000, DJ Nasha, a.k.a. Ritesh D'Souza, crosses over traditional Indian music by adding his own unique elements, flavors and style, which he is continually recognized for. In this way, he reached out to international audiences with his remix of 'Flute Fantasy' which showcased on Buddha Bar VII, the first Indian DJ to appear on this acclaimed album.
After performing for and programming a music segment at the recent Commonwealth Games 2010 Closing Ceremony, DJ Nasha has acclaimed a high level of professionalism and standard. He has worked along side a variety of celebrity artists and musicians including Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Sonu Nigam, Ustad Sultan Khan, Kailash Kher, Ranjit Barot, Sivamani,Punjabi MC, Bombay Viking, Talvin Singh, Ismail Darbar, Rishi Rich Project, and Raghav to name a few. He has been involved with various film premiers including Lagaan, Aks, and Refugee, a variety of brand launches such as Louis Vuitton and Tommy Hilfiger and has performed several times for the celebrated Bombay Times party, MTV Awards and Channel V Awards. He has produced numerous remixes for films including Shortcut and Holiday. 'Jawani Jane Man' with Malaika Arora, 'Yara Sili Sili' and 'Bagon Mein Bahar' were popular hit remixes that DJ Nasha produced. His track 'South Burn,' was featured on Blazing Drums 2, a successful experimental music album.
Consequently, DJ Nasha has traveled world-wide to perform at Bollywood events and venues and at prestigious wedding parties in London, Hong Kong, the Middle East, Malaysia, Indonesia, Nepal, Singapore, and USA, many of which involved live fusion acts.
